What began as a fitness podcast slowly became host Tom J Deters' verbal journal. Through sharing his journey and all the aspects of his life that he's "gone through", get real world examples in each episode of how to shift your perspective to reflect, grow, improve and work on yourself to create the "best version of you".

Hello, Happy Holidays, and Happy Thursday! On the last episode of 2017, Tom goes over his gratitude list for the year #followingthefeelgood. He shares his top ten and what each means to him. What the podcast, his guests, his listeners, and certain Pro You people that had an affect on him and how much it means to him. What he is so passionate about, why he does what he does, lies within his ability to be consistent. Hello and happy Thursday! Today a former guest from ep #141 Thuy Jacobson, returns and is joined by her husband Dave. Tom will never forget the episode he had with Thuy, it had a true impact on Tom and his path. Post episode, Thuy sent Tom a text. Tom has not stopped thinking about an update episode with her since. But since that episode, what Thuy and her husband have endured could not have been predicted, which made for an amazing story and episode of Pro You Podcast. Tom also shares scientific study that says something he is doing is good for him (and everyone!) shocker! And finally Tom ends with what he feels is one of his truest powers, not needing anything, which only took him 52 years to discover - might be some value in that. Hello, happy Thursday, and Happy Thanksgiving! On today's episode Tom shares two tests that are now in his hindsight and he can share the lesson he has learned so many times over. Two years ago on Thanksgiving, Tom trained CH and helped a friend struggling over a phone chat. He realized he had been thankful everyday. It is the way he healed the two years prior. On this particular "day", a Thursday, (Thanksgiving) he was so very thankful to have trained one of his best clients and friends and then helped another friend feel better. He also had food, shelter, and clothing. He worked out, felt great, all in that one special day. Tom realized he didn't need special food, around a special table, with certain people. He knew he could be alone. He also knew most people were being or trying to be, thankful on that one day out of the year. Tom knew in his heart how thankful he had been everyday of the past two years. The next day he decided to start the podcast. In March of the next year PYP began. Once again, Tom was ever so thankful. So Tom wanted to shout out a special THANK YOU to all the listeners for their support, their time, and their energy. "Tom gets to do what he loves!" Enjoy and as always thanks for listening!

Kabir is a very busy dude and Tom has been trying to get him on the podcast for awhile. Kabir's story, like many on the podcast, is unlike any Tom has heard. Second, Tom shares a letter a long time friend of Pro You Podcast, Bret Crews, who wrote on FB about the passing of his dog, Arthur. Tom struggles reading the letter, a lot. Hello and happy Thursday! On today's episode of Pro You Podcast Tom shares his sadness and his anger with the recent events involving (#metoo) all the female victims of sexual harassment, assault, or worse and the men who do whatever they want because they can and how much pain and suffering those actions cause. Tom shares his personal experience with women who have been assaulted and how the pain, suffering, and length of it all has taken it's toll. Tom has always been Pro-Women and that's why he used to teach self defense for women, karate for kids - to fight back, defend oneself from bullies of all types! Yes, Tom has a very definitive opinion on Horrible Harvey and men like him. Tom's wish is that any victim of any type of violence from any type of bully OWNS the truth that it is NOT: their fault, NOT a negative thing they should be embarrassed about, NOT anything that haunts them for years, decades out of fear of not sharing or getting help, or WHEN they do share it, it does NOT affect their career. Bad people do bad things to good people. It is not about you, the victim, it's NOT your fault. Envision Tom crying right now. Yeah, it's very real to Tom. Enjoy and as always thanks for listening!

Hello and happy Thursday! On today's episode of Pro You Podcast, Tom continues to share his experience from Saturday morning September 9th 2017. That would make this the third episode where Tom speaks about Zen and his accident - obviously it has had (and still has) an affect on Tom's thoughts, words, and path. The meet and greet happens at the animal shelter in Castaic and Tom has a metaphor come to him on the drive that reiterates one of the principles Tom has been following: focus on that which you can control. Tom's conviction is at an all time high and he is ever so thankful to "still" be doing what he gets to do! Enjoy and as always thanks for listening!

Hello and happy Thursday! On today's Pro You Podcast, Tom shares the most unbelievable story you will ever hear and that Tom and Zen have ever been through. Tom mentioned in his last episode of Pro You Podcast that he and Zen were headed up to Big Sur (a 5 hour drive). An hour into the drive, at 6:00 am in the morning, in total darkness, one of Tom's favorite quotes "You can't stop what's coming' literally came into play. Tom & Zen were struck by another car causing their own car to roll. Tom and Zen's life is changed forever. Tom is still trying to figure out how. This episode Tom recorded the very next morning, emotions raw, and so many things running through his head. He wanted his listeners to know he is very happy to be doing another episode and so very thankful for everything and everyone who listens - just a little bit more than usual! Tom then shares stories of Harvey, Irma, and how he has been personally affected by these and the forest fires in California. There seems to be a lot of bad happening and still to come (as when he recorded this episode) for many, many people, and Tom shares how he remains thankful, in the purple, and continues to live and learn. Tom ends this episode with another unplanned "add-on" and reads things that tugged on his heart strings. The last one he barley makes it through. Enjoy and as always thanks for listening!

But thinking makes it so. Yes, Shakespeare, my Pro You People, Shakespeare! That's how Tom is rolling on today's episode of Pro You Podcast. One of Tom's favorite quotes (next to "What you can be you must be." - Abraham Maslow). He has been trying to walk his Pro You Path with "nothing is good or bad, only thinking makes it so." and Tom is proving it true everyday in every way. It is a battle. It takes a very long time. And that is exactly why 1.) Tom does what he does 2.) why he is repetitive and 3.) what he is trying to get people to buy into, embrace, and OWN by deeming themselves worthy of whatever it takes! If one pretended that everything that happened was planned, imagine the time and energy saved from not wondering, worrying, and just being present in your life's Pro You path.  You could move forward efficiently and purposefully.

Well this is the young man who made Tom cry, Sir Connor Coman. A wonderful young man whom before Ep #161 Tom only knew his name because he was also a trainer at the gym. The moment they shared was quite clear to Tom; he knew the why and what.
